Decaryi is an audiovisual project driven by a passion for exploring new sounds and textures through improvisation and DIY instruments. Founded by Anton Schmidt, Decaryi blends chaos and order, harmony and noise, creating soundscapes with a modular synthesizer and electric guitar. Drawing inspiration from pioneering artists like Kraftwerk, Neu!, and Can, Decaryi presents a contemporary take on Krautrock, infused with Detroit Techno, and evokes a sense of melancholy and introspection while crafting an ryhtmic landscape that is both captivating and unsettling.
Decaryi's journey into electronic music began as a guitarist in rock and metal bands. Inspired by academic studies in sound and technology, Decaryi embraced new creative avenues, merging organic and analog elements with digital versatility to develop Decaryi's sound. Decaryi's live performances are characterized by spontaneous, repetitive improvisation, forging a connection with the audience and offering a hypnotic, psychedelic experience.
